We are committed to ensuring that your personal information is protected.

This privacy policy (last updated on 22.6.2026) is for subscribers to our corporate services in the data and AI industries aged over the age of 18.

The information you need to know about us

We are IQ Data Group Limited.

DataIQ is a trading name of IQ Data Group Limited whose company registration number is 9900834 and is registered at registered at 6th Floor, Charlotte Building, 17 Gresse St, London W1T 1QL.

The information we collect and how we use it

When creating an account on DataIQ, registering for an event, completing a survey or downloading a piece of content, you may be asked to share information about who you are and your business contact information. This will include your name, business email, business phone number, place of work and job role. Where billing information is required we may need a billing address.

You should understand that any information that you provide may be used by us to contact you regarding your enquiry, booking or any other matter relating to DataIQ subscription services. Much of the content provided on the site and attendance to many of our events is only made possible by providing selected contact data of those who interact with the content to our third-party suppliers for the provision of such services.  We have recognised that the provision of relevant contact data in these circumstances is in the legitimate interest of DataIQ and our partners.

Who we share your data with

The data processors we use for our business operations who may process your data under our control include:

• com and Hubspot.com for our sales operations
• Zapnito Ltd who provide our subscriber-only platform (“Hub”)
• Microsoft UK who provide our office & email system hosting
• Manatial Ltd who provide our “Velaris” account management platform.
• SurveyMonkey and PointerPro (Objective 7 BV) who provide our research platforms

In most cases, the servers where your personal data is stored and processed are located within the UK or European Economic Area. Hosting for Zapnito is provided by AWS in the USA.

Sharing your data with other 3rd parties

Should you register for any DataIQ event or download any third-party content, we may occasionally and only with your specific permission, pass your contact information to third parties who either partners of the event in question or are providers of the content you have downloaded. In the process of registering for an event or accessing content, you will be asked for your consent to the fact that your data will be shared with specific parties. We may also share your details under special circumstances such as when we believe in good faith that it is required by law.

How long we keep your personal information

We keep your personal information in line with our data retention policy. This means that we will remove or anonymise personal information which have collected directly from you from our systems if we haven’t had any direct contact with you for more than 36 months (this period typifies the maximum length of time that a contract could be in negotiation with us).

For personal information provided to us by our clients, we are governed by their data retention rules as specified in their privacy notices.

In certain circumstances, we have a statutory obligation to keep your personal information for a set period of time for example financial information (normally 6-7 years) for financial auditing purposes.

How to keep your personal information up-to-date

It’s important for both you and us that your personal information is correct. If you believe this not to be the case and you are registered on our DataIQ “Hub” then please log-in and update your details in the “my account” section. You may also e-mail the amended details to privacy@dataiq.global or your Customer Success Manager.

How you can find out about the information we hold about you

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you.

If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email or write to us using the contact details in this policy.

We will get in contact to verify your identity and if we do hold information about you we will:

• give you a description of it
• tell you why we are holding it
• tell you who it could be shared with
• let you have a concise and clear copy of the information
• Our legal basis for processing your personal information

Much of our processing will be under the basis of “contractual obligation” in other words we need and use your personal information for providing the services you have requested or have contracted with us.

 However, when we are communicating with you regarding products and services you may be interested in receiving from us or our clients in the future our basis for processing is our legitimate interest. As we are communicating with you in the context of your corporate activity and identity and not in relation to your private life we believe this to be reasonable and fair behaviour in the context of our audience. This is why we ask for business email addresses and business phone numbers. Of course you will always have the opportunity to object by writing to privacy@dataiq.global or by updating your preferences.

Asking us to suppress or remove your personal information

Should you wish to not receive information from us in future then you can quickly action this by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email communication. Alternatively you can request this by sending an email to privacy@dataiq.global and we will quickly suppress your data.

Should you further wish for us to remove your information entirely (and assuming we have no other obligation to keep it) then please let us know using the email address above and we will review your request.

What to do if you have a complaint

If you have a complaint please contact us at privacy@dataiq.global or via your Customer Success Manager who will deal with your request promptly.

If you are still not satisfied with the way your complaint was handled, you can refer your complaint to UK Information Commissioner’s Office. ico.org.uk/concerns/

We may link our “Hub” directly to other sites. This privacy notice does not cover the links within our site linking to other websites and organisations. We encourage you to read the privacy statements on the other websites you visit.

Sale of business

In the event that this business is sold or integrated with another business your details may be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchasers’ advisers and will be passed on to the new owners of the business for the specific purposes originally provided. It is therefore intended that any consents given above or on the relevant pages will benefit any purchaser of our business.
